Program Options:
- Summer Full Time
- 8-week full-time internship placements
- Start dates:
1) Late May
2) Early June - Participants will work 32 hours per week - typically, 8 hours per day, 4 days a week
- Exact schedule may vary by placement company
- Semester Part Time
- Embedded semester part-time internship placements
- Participants can choose to earn 3-6 academic credits
- No more than 20 hours per week at placement
- Offered on a limited basis during the fall and spring semesters

What’s Included:
- On-Site Orientation: health and safety, expectations for internship placement, and information regarding the host culture workplace environment.
- Housing: safe, comfortable accommodations, accessible via public transportation commute to the internship placement. Housing is provided by MADE in Sicily and provided by SAI in Milan, Florence, and Rome.
- Virtual Internship Course:
- This course explores the role of culture and international work experience in shaping students personally and professionally for their future careers. Through assignments and reflection exercises, students will learn about global communication, competence, cultural understanding, and soft skills gained through the challenges and opportunities of living and working abroad. The course encourages students to integrate their academic coursework with their work experiences, career development goals and their personal skills and values The student will apply academic knowledge in a practical setting in their field of interest while in a global setting to help build essential career development skills. During the course students will explore career paths, personal attributes and understanding, and skill assessment to help prepare them for their future career regardless of academic area. Students will be expected to complete a variety of assignments to assess learning outcomes. Course graded on a letter grade basis. Prerequisite: none.
- Academic Credit: participants must either enroll for academic credit through MADE, the SAI school of record, or their home university
